| Galegos na Diáspora
is a
photodocumentalist project of author,
carried out between the years 1989 and 2005 by the photojournalist
Delmi Álvarez (Vigo, Galicia, 1958) around the world, following
the routes that thousands of Galician emigrants.
With a concept like a chronicle of trips around the world, Delmi
Álvarez
has photographed the communities of galicians in its respective
places of work and residence, from old Europe to the Antipodal: Europe,
the Américas, the Asia-Australian Continent and Africa.
In October of 2005 Caixanova, will be the sponsor-partner of the great
exhibition of the photographs in Vigo and will be traveling by Galicia
later, spanish state, and abroad. Parallelly with the exhibition the
photographer will
take place
workshops of photography explaining how the project was made.

Montero, my grandmother Rosalía, a great traveller that made me
